Our History
The Okaloosa Rugby Football Club was founded in 1979 and current
membership totals over 150 past and present players and supporters. The club rose
to prominence in the mid-eighties and through the nineties. During this period,
the club routinely dominated the Deep South Rugby Football Union.
The club’s active rugby players predominently come from US Military
personnel at Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field. High deployment rates since 9/11 have
coincided with a decline in our on-field success.
However, we are on the rise and look to be dominant again.
